The Tissue-Tek Genie® Advanced Stainer is capable of performing automated immunohistochemistry and in-situ hybridization on specimen sections affixed to glass slides for a subsequent examination by connecting to the Tissue-Tek Genie® Controller System.
The Tissue-Tek Genie® Advanced Stainer is a fully automated stainer featuring 30 independent staining stations.
Each station has independent plumbing and heating/cooling functions.
In the primary antibody step, the primary reagent capsule (single-use) breaks off. Then, the liquid primary reagent flows out of the antibody carrier into the reaction chamber on the station and is drawn below the slides by gravity and capillary-gap action.
The cartridge reagent is dispensed into the mixing recess on the top of the antibody carrier, flows out of the antibody carrier into the reaction chamber by gravity, and is drawn below the slide by capillary-gap action.
The Tissue-Tek Genie® Advanced Stainer has a transport system that distributes the carousels. The carousels can hold up to 19 reagent cartridges. The Tissue-Tek Genie® Advanced Stainer also has a reagent flow control system. The system can inject reagents such as washing solutions and buffer solutions into and out of the stations.
Processing time: 1 hour 44 minutes to 2 hour 44 minutes per slide (including a dewaxing step to remove paraffin, antigen activation, and counterstaining)
Capable of preparing up to 90 IHC slides in 8 hours.
