Tissue-Tek® TEC™ 6 Embedding Center
The Tissue-Tek® TEC™ 6 is an embedding center used by connecting the Embedding Module and the Cryo Module.
The Tissue-Tek® TEC™ 6 Embedding Module (hereinafter referred to “EM”) is intended to embed human or animal tissue in paraffin by melting solid paraffin and dispensing molten paraffin. This instrument is used to simplify the process to produce tissue specimens for histological studies and tests conducted in fields including pathology, anatomy, and clinical pathology.
The Tissue-Tek® TEC™ 6 Cryo Module (hereinafter referred to “CM”) is intended to embed human or animal tissue in paraffin by cooling blocks that contain tissue and paraffin on cassettes after dispensing molten paraffin. This instrument is used to simplify the process to produce tissue specimens for histological studies and tests conducted in fields including pathology, anatomy, and clinical pathology.

Embedding center that is easy to use
Easy operation with a touch of a finger
·The 4.3-inch color touch screen shows the status of the instrument at a glance. The user can quickly and easily set the temperature and timer using the icons.
·The user can set the timer for each day of the week according to the workflow. By using the timer, the embedding operation can be started without having to wait for the warm-up time.
·The user can easily change the brightness of the LED illumination just by touching the main screen.
Considerations for specimen safety
· The user can choose the LED illumination from 5 levels of brightness that suit the work environment. This improves specimen visibility.
· A white hot plate, which does not reflect light easily, reduces eye strain during operation.
· The user can easily clean the inside of the forceps holder, where specimen debris easily accumulates, by pressing the cleaning mode button.
· Optional magnifying lens makes the embedding of small specimens easy.
A flexible design that supports the embedding process
- A wrist rest that supports the hand ensures stability during the embedding process. The user can remove or combine the wrist rest and its cushion according to their preference.
- The user can place the Cryo Module to either the left or right, whichever is more convenient.
- The warming chamber tray has a handle and the user can remove the tray easily from the warming chamber, so it is easy to carry the tray and to clean the inside of the warming chamber.
